ZPD: 2nd Arrest In New Year’s Eve Shooting

Zanesville Police Chief Kenneth Miller says a second suspect has been arrested in connection with a December 31st shooting at 768 Pine Street. The Chief says that 25-year-old Jacob Roberts of 216 Weller Avenue has been charged with aggravated robbery and felonious assault, both with firearm specifications in connection with the incident. Another suspect in the case, 31-year-old Darrin Wade of Zanesville on Wednesday pled not guilty to multiple charges in the case including attempted murder, aggravated robbery, felonious assault and having a weapon while under a disability. Both men remain in custody.
