ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Â Mission Oaks and the Muskingum Valley Park District are celebrating National Public Gardens Day.
On Friday May, 6 from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. you’ll be able to tour the gardens, there will also be crafts for children, and plant sales.
“When you arrive the volunteers will be stationed at different locations in the garden,” said Mission Oaks Gardens Volunteer and Event Coordinator Angel Mack. “Giving you the history and education about those specific gardens. You will be given a registration card as you visit each location your card will be marked. And a completed card entitles you to a free plant or a $2 coupon off of our awesome plant sale.”
All profits will be used in the development of the new Olga’s Children’s Garden.
“The goal of this event is to give the community an opportunity for an awesome family orientated event, be educated on plants, and hope they will visit us again soon. The past two years we’ve had a awesome turn out and we hope to continue to do this many times in the future.”
Admission is free. Mission Oaks Gardens is located at 424 Hunter Avenue.
