Tri-Valley High School Color Guard and Drumline held its Annual Car Wash Fundraiser Saturday.

Motorists were able to stop by Auto Zone on Maple Ave. to have their car washed and support a good cause. The cost of the car wash was a minimum of a $5 donation to benefit the individual band members accounts and fee’s for Band Camp.

"There given holes and sponges and soap, so they get to have some fun themselves, we’ve had a couple of sneaky sprayers, spraying each other and all that stuff but, they have fun. We got warm weather today and a pretty good breeze so it’s fun for them, it’s cooling them down and they get to spend time with each other and build relationships," said Mandy Walton, Instructor and Color Guard Tri-Valley Local School District.

Members from the Tri-Valley Color Guard and Drumline said it feels great to receive the support from the community and even better for all of them to work together as a team to achieve a major goal.

"This I think promotes not only the Drumline and the Color Guard but, just the band as a whole," said Samantha Engle, Snare Drum Player for Tri-Valley High School. "It’s just really good to kind of get out here and get our name in the community and it also gives us a lot more support."

"I’m just glad that we get the chance to bond as a group and not just the color guard, not just the Drumline but, together," said Ashley West, member, Tri-Valley Color Guard.

The Tri-Valley Color Guard and Drumline will host a car wash once a months during the summer months. The next Car Wash is set for Saturday, June 25-th.
