ZANESVILLE, Ohio – As schools let out, the Muskingum Family YMCA gets a little busier. Sam Gianettino, who is the aquatics director for the “Y” said that there is no shortage of summer activities for kids at the Muskingum Family YMCA.
“We have day camp going on Monday through Friday,” said Gianettino. “Along with that we have a few programs right now. T-ball, and we’ll be starting up some other sessions later on in the summer with flag football and also soccer.”
The YMCA pool will be opening on June 4. It is $5 for a day pass, and punch cards are also available for $25.
Gianettino said that anyone can register at the YMCA at their location on Adams Lane. He also said that they are planning for some big additions to the campus.
“We are now working on a complex that were focusing on hopefully getting some money to build out in the field. We would actually like to see a soccer field, football fields, and some baseball or softball fields out there,” said Gianettino.
