ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Bishop Rosecrans boy’s soccer team is coming off an impressive run in the state tournament and now they are holding a fundraiser for their upcoming season.
The fundraiser is a car show but Bishop’s head coach Rod Gibson said that there will also be live music, 50-50 raffles, and of course cars.
“We’ve been out to quite a few car shows handing out flyers and have had a lot of really good feedback,” said Gibson. “There’s been some really awesome cars that we hope to see tomorrow.”
The event is Saturday from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. at the high school. Gibson said the car show is open to all makes, models, and years and said money raised will go a long way to help fund the soccer team.
“We just replaced our jerseys last year which was great because we made our state tournament run," said Gibson. "This year it’s going a lot more towards equipment, training jerseys, and things like that. Things that people don’t usually associate with soccer, but are definitely needed.”
Car registration is fifteen dollars and spectators are admitted free.
