ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The John McItire Library is collaborating with the Convention and Visitors Bureau to bring you books and a boat ride.

This is a part of the summer reading initiative. The Lorena Sternwheeler will serve as the setting for storytime on Monday, July 11th at 2 p.m.

“Our focus this summer is a summer experience,” Assistant Director Blair Tom said. “Certainly that includes reading. We are reaching out beyond the walls of our libraries. One of those is a collaboration with the Convention and Visitors Bureau on the Lorena on July 11 at 2 p.m. Children and families are welcomed to join us on lorena for story time.”

The story telling will be Mr. Andy. Who is often seen at latchkey kids and preschools. Andy will be dressed up as a pirate on the Lorena.

“It’s been great to engage families, have this great partnership with CVB and work together with the community. It just adds to family summer experience,” Tom said.
