ZANESVILLE, OHIO– The Zane State College Foundation held its 8th Annual “Afternoon Tee” Event at the Zanesville Country Club on Monday.
Michele Redman, Zanesville Native, retired LPGA golf pro, and current head coach for the University of Minnesota’s Women’s Golf Team said that this event have been a great success each year and they get a lot of new faces every year, but also a lot of similar faces from previous years.
“This is our eighth year doing the tournament. Every year we have a group of women come together and we do a clinic. We have a lunch and then we talk to them about the scholarship opportunities that we are raising for the young women at Zane State College,” Redman said.
Redman said that they received a lot of help from the community and also from their sponsors.
“We got more corporate sponsors this year, so that’s very exciting. We also had seventeen different teams attend this year, which tied last year,” Redman said.
Redman is optimistic that the momentum will keep going for this event and it will become more and more successful in the years to come.
