ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Â Muskingum University celebrated its 179th school year today by holding itâ€™s annual move in day for incoming freshman students.
Freshman and transfer students at Muskingum University moved into their dorms on Friday to start of new chapter of their lives.
Beth DaLonzo, Senior Director for Admissions and Student Financial Services at Muskingum University said that they have been prepping these students for the big move on Friday all year.
â€œThis is the greatest day ever,â€ said DaLonzo. â€œThis is what we wait for, this is what we look forward to, welcoming the new students to begin the new life that theyâ€™re embarking on.â€
Carmie Shook, Zanesville High School Graduate, is a freshman at Muskingum this year and she sayâ€™s that sheâ€™s majoring in Chemistry with a minor in both Psychology and Spanish in the hopes of one day becoming a Forensic Scientist.
â€œIâ€™m excited to be independent, excited to have freedom, but Iâ€™m not excited about all of the work Iâ€™m going to have to do,â€ said Shook. â€œIâ€™m excited to just start my life.â€
The first day of class for Muskingum University starts on Monday, August 29th.
