ZANESVIILE, Ohio– The Muskingum County Community Youth Foundation has launched it’s 9th annual Winter Coat Drive.

CYF is asking for new and gently used coats for area families with children.

“Several years ago the youth foundation began collecting coats,” Director of donor services’adviser for CYF Juliet Lacy said. “They started out working with East Side Community Ministries and the after school program there and it’s just kind of grown.”

Coats can be dropped off at MCCF, Century National Bank in Zanesville, John McIntire Library, OUZ, Tri-Valley Fitness Center, and area high schools.

“We started the coat drive this week and it will continue through November 10th. A winter coat is something a lot of kids take for granted. We certainly have kids in our community that have multiple coats and we have many others that don’t have one at all,” Lacy said.

Thanks to the generosity of this community, the Muskingum County Community Youth Foundation has been able to provide hundreds of coats to families.
