NEW CONCORD, Ohio- The Southeastern Ohio Symphony Orchestra kicked their 43rd anniversary Sunday.
SEOSO Music Director and Conductor Laura E. Schmann said she’s excited for orchestra’s new season, because it features a neat theme.
“It’s an out of this world season,” Schmann said. “The last concert is a little more spacey. This first concert launches with out of this world favorites, which is music that everybody knows.”
Schmann said another unique feature of this concert series is it features instruments typically not found in orchestras.
“We have saxophones performing solos. We also have a very unusual oboe. The oboe D’amore that’s more of Baroque instrument usually not even used,” Schmann said.
