ZANESVILLE, Ohio- It was a good night at the polls for Muskingum County Children’s Services. It’s 2 mill for 10 years levy easily passed.
Executive Director Dave Boyer said he appreciated the support from the community.
“To know that the citizens, the voters, had our backs and they’re supporting us and our efforts to support children. It just makes you feel great,” Boyer said.
Boyer said the funds from the levy will be used for many different things including, intake, investigations and treatment. Each program is geared towards protecting the children of Muskingum County.
“They’ll help finance the Avondale Youth Center. They’ll help finance foster care and adoptive services and help subsidize our kinship services as well,” Boyer said.
Boyer thanked the community for supporting the levy that helps protect children from abuse, neglect, and abandonment.
