ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Â The new President of Muskingum University was the featured speaker Tuesday at the Zanesville Noon Rotary Club.
Dr. Susan Hasseler, President of Muskingum University, spoke about the different ways the institution serves the region.
“Our students on campus are out in the community, they’re doing wonderful internships, they are working in clinical’s, they’re engaged in service learning they’re really a part of this place,” said Dr. Hasseler.
Dr. Hasseler says the involvement is a two way street.
“The way it really benefits the community is bringing in energy and expertise, the students both learn with and from the community members and so its a chance for the community to also touch the next generation,” said Dr. Hasseler.
This is Muskingum University’s 21st President. Dr. Hasseler has been in office since July 1st.
