ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The days of warm temperatures and sunshine may be on a hiatus, but the area still offers a variety of activities.

The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is encouraging the community to enjoy the area, even during the colder months.

Kelly Ashby, Vice President of the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce, said there are many things to see and do in the area.

“There are lots of fun family activities going on, things for couples to do and things for individuals to do,” said Ashby.

Ashby suggested renting a cabin at Dillon State Park, going on a winter tour at The Wilds and partaking in the ‘Putnam Hop’ in historic downtown.

The chamber has an easier way for the community to keep up with the various events.

Ashby said there is a weekly email that people can sign up for called ‘What’s Happening.’

“We send it right to you, of what’s taking place that full week in the Zanesville-Muskingum County area,” said Ashby. “So you can be in the know all the time.”

To sign up for the email service or for more information on events in the area you can contact the Chamber of Commerce at or (740) 455-8282.
