“People know that the chances are slim, but I think it’s always the what if,” Pitcock said. “I think people always have that you know someone’s got to hit it. You know the odds are slim, but someone has to, it might be me. You never know.”

Pitcock said the higher Powerball gets people interested and something to do. He’ll see individuals and even groups of people come in for a chance at winning. This doesn’t just help in his increase of customers, but it also helps him to catch up with old customers.

“Some people will you know go out of their way to come here to get tickets here,” Pitcock said. They know this is a good place to get lottery and they feel lucky when they come in here and get them. Then also you know people have moved out of this area, will make sure they come back here just for this. Just to see what’s up, see whats going on, and see what’s new. So it is exciting, and when you get to see all new people. It gives a lot of people a shot to come in here and just see whats new and what this place is all about.”
