ZANESVILLE, Ohio — The Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department is hosting their annual Health Fair at The Colony Square Mall this weekend.
The health department says it’s a great opportunity for non-profit organizations and health care professionals to provide community members with a “one-stop-shop” for important information about their health.
“The community health fair is this weekend; we have more than 20 health related organizations here with health professionals available to answer any of your health questions. There are also a lot of giveaways going on, free information, and free health screenings too if you need those,” said Jennifer Hiestand, the Public Information Officer for the ZMCHD.
The health department adds that with our fast-paced lives, one of the first things people tend to forget about is their health, and events like these provide a resource for answers to questions that we may have.
“Our lives are very busy and a lot of times we neglect our health. So when these events come up it’s just an easy way for you to ask a few questions about issues that maybe you’ve already had questions about but no one to ask,” added Hiestand.
For those that couldn’t make it out today, the Health Fair resumes tomorrow and will be open to all community members during normal mall hours.
