ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Area businesses teed off for some friendly competition August 11th.
The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual Summer Golf Outing at Jaycees Golf Course and Chamber President, Dana Matz, said the outing services as a great way for Chamber businesses to network while enjoying a round of golf.
“Each year we do two golf outings, this one we hold at the Jaycees, many people do not remember that the Jaycees are the junior Chamber of Commerce so that’s our partnership with them. But we are excited, this is an opportunity for area businesses that are Chamber members to come out to the golf course get a day of golf in hopefully a little businesses goes on while they are at it, so its businesses networking and golf all in one day.”
Matz detailed some of the schedule including a few prizes.
“They are signing in today, four player teams, we will serve them lunch, which is bagged lunch from Grillen Daves and they will go out at noon for a shotgun start. It’s a scramble best ball start format. After that match is over they will come back in we will award prizes for second and third, longest drive, longest putt and those types of things and we will send them on their way.”
Around 25 teams of businesses attended the Chamber’s outings this year.
