ZANESVILLE, Ohio- An area student was given the opportunity of a lifetime today.
The Muskingum Valley Education Service Center and Stratos Wealth Partners presented recent Zanesville High School Graduate, Hannah Tarbert, with a check for more than 46,000 dollars this afternoon to be used for college expenses at Indiana University.
“Mary Jane Geyer Cain through her estate, established a scholarship for students in Muskingum, Morgan, and Perry Counties that would be attending Indiana University in Indiana, Bloomington.” said Superintendent of Muskingum Valley Education Service Center, David Branch.
Talbert says the scholarship is a great honor and looks forward to the possibilities it will provide for her at Indiana University.
“I’m absolutely honored it’s a real pleasure to have received this scholarship. It’s absolutely amazing and its a real honor to me and I really hope I make the Stratos Wealth Partners proud and especially my family proud.”
Tarbert plans on studying neuroscience this fall and attending medical school so that she might be a neurologist or neurosurgeon.
