Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency Director Jeff Jadwin says he has good news and bad news on his first day on the job. The good news is one lane is now open on I-70 westbound by the Sunrise Shopping Center after a 5 vehicle accident that included a semi tractor trailer just after 11:00 am. The bad news is that there were two other accidents on I-70 Thursday. Jadwin say two semi tractor trailers were involved in an accident in the westbound lanes of I-70 just east of the Norwich exit and another accident between a semi and a car happened on westbound I-70 just west of New Concord. Jadwin says now the westbound lanes are closed at New Concord. Traffic is being rerouted to US 40 while the accidents are cleaned up. Jadwin says crews are also responding to a high pressure natural gas leak on Spry Road. That incident is off US 40 just before Perry Elementary School. All the incidents remains under investigation.
