ZANESVILLE, Ohio- As spring is quickly approaching, now is the perfect time to learn how to enhance your garden.
Saturday, The Muskingum Valley Garden Society hosted their 15th annual Garden Symposium with awarding winning author and featured speaker, Melinda Myers.
“This is a great way to start this growing season, to get inspired and get new ideas, and gather ideas for your garden. Also, the proceeds go to support the Muskingum Valley Garden Society that does so much to beautify Zanesville. So I’m very excited I get to do something I love, talk gardening and inviting birds, blooms and butterflies into your garden but also support a good cause,” said Myers.
Although the symposium offered many tools on bettering your garden, Myers said one of her main goals is to make the world a better place.
“I want to really create a kinder and gentler world one garden and gardener at a time, so I’m ending every talk with that request because I can’t do it alone and I’m going to need everyone’s help because once you dig into the soil, you see the world very differently and it’s a great place for us to come together with nature and each other,” said Myers.
The event showcased several speakers, books for purchase and even had a silent auction.
