ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local business is having a grand reopening after relocating to a downtown office.
Home Instead opened its doors to its new home on North 5th street last month. The business specializes in providing care for seniors in their own homes so they don’t have to go to a nursing home. Owner, Amy Huddleston, said the new location will help connect them to the community and provide service to more families.
“We’ve got a great staff of caregivers that are very compassionate people and they go into seniors homes and they help with cooking meals and provide companionship,” said Huddleston. “Make sure they’re taking their medications properly. Helping with bathing. Things that family often does but we supplement what family can’t always cover.”
Huddleston said the services they offer are not only convenient for the families, but they’re cost effective. She said one thing that makes them so desirable is the caregivers who develop relationships with their seniors. Huddleston said they are looking to expand their team.
“We are always looking to hire very compassionate caregivers to our team. So on Wednesday’s during the day we have “walk-in Wednesday’s”,” said Huddleston. “So anyone who’s interested in part-time, flexible, very rewarding work is welcome to walk-in and apply with us. And we have an excellent training program that we’ll put them through.”
