COLUMBUS, Ohio – The OHSAA has passed a new rule regarding student-athletes who transfer from one school to another.
The new rule states that students who transfer, and don’t meet OHSAA exemptions, must now sit out the second half of their sport’s regular season and the entire post season. The previous rule stated that transfer students had to sit out the first half of the regular season. The new rule starts effectively.
The measure passed Wednesday afternoon by a vote of 450-244.
