ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The animal shelter is introducing a new furry friend.
Meet Sassy, the 2 and a half year old ball of energy. Sassy is very playful and lively. But she is a trainable dog. Her adoption fee is $100, and it is partially sponsored.
“I think she’s a very trainable dog, If you’re patient with her and spend some time with her. I do think she’s a very trainable dog. If you’re a active person, she’s going to fit the mark very much for you,” said Executive Director of the Animal Shelter Society, Jody Murray.
The animal shelter is also gearing up for it’s annual comedy club at Bryan’s Place. This is one of the shelter’s major fundraisers, and sells out almost every year. Tickets are still available at the shelter until tomorrow for $20.
“It’s one of our major fundraisers. Doors open at 6:00, comedy starts at 8:00, We encourage people to get their early, especially if you have a large group. There is no reserved seating so get there early,” said Murray.
Yesterday the Shelter had their “Spayapalooza” event where they spayed more than 40 cats. They will have another spay event coming up in February.
