ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It is time to start thinking about your first half taxes.
Bills will be mailed within the next two weeks, Real Estate and Manufactured Home first half taxes will be due by Friday, February 22. Chris Hamill, Muskingum County Treasurer, said there are a few different ways you can pay.
“The form of method of payment is to pay in our office, you can mail your tax bill in or you can pay online. If you do pay online there is a convenience fee and the convenience fee consists of 2.5% if you use a MasterCard, it’s $3.95 if you use your debit Visa card and there is $1.50 fee if you would do an electronic check,” Hamill said.
There is also a drop box located outside of the treasurer’s office if you want to pay around the hours of service. Not paying your taxes can lead to foreclosure on your property.
“They can just go to our website, the Muskingum County Treasurer’s website, you can bring up your taxes and see how much is due. If you want to pay online there’s instructions there to follow to begin the process of making your payment,” Hamill said.
