NORWICH, Ohio – The Muskingum County Commissioners spent part of their morning opening bids for the Norwich Water Storage Tank.
There were about 10 prospective bidders that sent in their information to the commissioners. Muskingum County Projects Director Don Madden said that the tank needs to be painted and touched up.
“It is a steel tank, next to the Village of Norwich. It’s to the point that it simply needs to be rehabilitated and some painting so that’s what we were opening bids for. The tank is a 40-foot diameter and about 40-foot high steel tank and so they’re going to sandblast it and paint the tank,” Madden said.
There was no decision made on what company will be chosen to do the rehabilitation at the meeting but engineers will help make a decision by the end of the week.
