ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is kicking off their Annual Spring Break meeting next week.
The Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization and per the Chamber’s bylaws they are required to have an annual meeting. To add fun to the meeting, they make it a “Spring Break” theme. Everyone will meet over breakfast and the attire is strictly casual with spring break themed decorations. Chamber of Commerce President, Dana Matz, recommended businesses attend the meeting because they will learn more about the Chamber and the different businesses in the area.
“The event has a lot of information that will be given to them regarding Comp Savings Programs, there will be vendors set up so they can meet their fellow Chamber member businesses, see what services they have to provide. But more importantly learn about the successes of the businesses from last year,” said Matz.
The Chamber is expecting more than 500 people to attend. The meeting will recognize more than 100 businesses and the investments they have made whether that is improving their building, buying equipment, or fixing assets. They will also recognize businesses that participated in Safety Council.
“They learn about how they improve work place safety, work place wellness to make more productive businesses in our community,” Matz mentioned.
The deadline to register for the annual meeting is this Friday, March 15th at noon. Just register on the Chamber’s website. The Spring Break meeting takes place Friday, March 22nd, at the Ohio University Zanesville campus, doors open at 6:40 a.m.
