Betty Jane McAuley (October 10, 1931 – April 16, 2014)

Betty Jane Oliver McAuley, 82, of Zanesville, died at 2:50 A.M. on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at her home. She was born October 10, 1931, in Whigville, OH, a daughter of the late Clifford and Flora Alice Moore Oliver. Betty loved flowers and spending time in her garden, but most of all she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband Edgar McAuley, whom she married April 22, 1950; five children, Victoria J. Butcher of Zanesville, Abby (Perry) Anderson of Zanesville, Cindy Jo (Orlen) Bates of Zanesville, Rhonda Lee (Christopher) Davis of Zanesville, and Tina Marie (Harold) Bare of Tampa, FL; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a sister Eileen Wells (Gene) of Barnesville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Marie, Nellie Jones, Ada Snider, Ruth Warner, and Irene Smithberger; and a brother Robert Lee Oliver.

Friends and family may call from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, April 18, 2014, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 19, 2014. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
