Senior Citizens in Muskingum County now have an alternative to Nursing Homes. It's called The Passport Program and it brings services and care to the Senior's home so they don't have to move into a nursing home facility. "in the past we started with transportation and home delviered meals. Now we have home care and personal service too. We help people take care of their homes, personal care providing bathes, changing dressings." said Terry Dunn, Executive Director Muskingum County Center for Seniors.
The Muskingum County Center for Seniors is a provider for the passport program and currently serves 18 clients.
The program is funded through Medicaid and state and Federal Dollars. If you are interested in the Passport program call the Area Agency on Aging at 1-800-932-7277 to see if you qualify.
