Muskingum County Children’s Services is running out of room. And the agency is looking at using the Old Muskingum County Juvenile Detention Center on Putnam Avenue to house its “Help Me Grow Program.” Help Me Grow, offers help to new parents and babies through the age of two years old. The agency thinks the building will meet all of their needs. Muskingum county feels the move is a likely possibility. Currently, children’s services is getting estimates on roof and plumbing renovations for the building on Putnam. Right now, Operation Feed is storing food at the Center, but when they move out in a month, Dunbar said they will hopefully begin to move in.
