A former Zanesville city hall employee has submitted a proposal to the city for the Greenwood Avenue Restoration Project. Gerald Burg was a chief building official for the city, and he has taken the Greenwood Avenue project and developed a proposal for physical improvements. His intent is to show that the area can be developed without wholesale demolition. He wants the city to think about alternative approaches to physical changes. City officals recieved the formal proposal today, and are looking it over. The preliminary phase of the project is almost completed. The city is now meeting with homeowners and tenants to appraise homes in the area. A plan is beginning to take and preferred alignments are being made. Bennett said that within the next two months the project will take in more information and a clear picture will be available. WHIZ news received a copy of the proposal today. Burg was not available for further comment.
