Grant money brings new rail facility. Muskingum County received $100,000 in grant money from the state’s Department of Development, to help bring railway service to Eastpoint Industrial Park in Zanesville. This is in addition to the $100,000 that state senator Carnes announced recently. Total price tag for the project is over $700,000, but taxpayers, will only pay a small portion of the grand total due to grant money. Wendy’s new bakery company is also giving $100,000 towards the project. They will be one of the companies that will benefit from the rail facility. Construction of the rail facility will take about three months and will begin August of this year on the East side of the Industrial Park. Wendy’s Bakery is scheduled to open in late fall.
