Holiday Driving Safety Tips

The summer’s first holiday weekend is coming up and many people will be packing up their cars and taking road trips for Memorial Day. According to the Ohio Public Safety, there were more than 2500 accidents on Ohio’s roadways last year over the Memorial weekend. So here are some friendly reminders about staying safe on the road. Sgt. Floyd Lemmon said to watch your speed, maintain a clear distance from the cars ahead and to be careful driving during the rainy weekend. Most important, Sgt. Lemmon reminds people not to drink and drive, find someone else to drive the car if you’ve been drinking, or call a cab. So keep those tips in mind this weekend and be safe.
