Summer is here and that means vacation time for many, but with the high cost of gasoline, some families may be looking for vacations closer to home. One option to consider is Dillon State Park in Muskingum County. The Park said some cottage guests and campers are planning on making more trips to the park because of gas prices. Cottage rental begins at $100, the rate decreases each additional night you stay. And it costs $16 per night for a campsite. And the park has plenty of special events for visitors such as Christmas in July, American Powwow in July and the Dillon Family Fest. The public is welcome to any of the events. The park also has everyday activities such as tennis, basketball, hiking, boating and fishing at the marina and beach. For more information call 453-4377.
