The village of Dresden, along with the rest of the US, honored those brave men and women on this Memorial Day. In celebration and honor, the village had a parade and also unveiled a long-awaited memorial to the citizens of Dresden who fought and lost their lives. In less than a year, the American Legion and VFW raised the twelve thousand dollars for the memorial, which is located at Dresden Cemetery. The village also planted a green ash tree at the cemetery in honor of the World War two veterans. The tree is one of ten thousand that came from General Eisenhower farm and that’s being planted all over the US.
