The City of Zanesville is making sure kids who usually benefit from school lunch programs, don’t go hungry over the summer. It’s the 15th year for the city’s Summer Free Lunch Program and any child up to the age of 18 can come and get a free meal. The program runs every day and a van drives the meals to 21 lunch locations in Zanesville. The city is averaging about 600 meals per day. The food is prepared at Grover Cleveland Middle School, the menu has eleven balanced meals and rotates every day. The kids definitely have their favorites and not-so favorites. Number one choice was pizza, the last choice was peas. For information on lunch locations call 455-0609.
