The state budget has yet to be finalized but local governments are already counting on getting less money. The County Commissioners Association of Ohio attributes the loss in finances to lower sales tax revenue, higher Medicaid, and the school funding case. Money will also be pulled out of the villages, townships and cities. In Muskingum County they are still unsure as to how much. Counties will know in the next few weeks how much their budgets will have to be reduced.
