Local citizens who are accused of having big hearts were arrested today and spent some time in jail. It was the “Jail and Bail” for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Warrants were issues for area citizens who were then picked up by the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Department. MDA officials took mugshots of the jailbirds and then they sentenced them to spend one hour of time on the phone raising money for the MDA. The money raised is used to help with the purchase of wheel chairs, leg braces, to pay for clinic visits and physical therapy. The MDA hopes to raise $40,000 by the end of the fundraiser.
