State wildlife and environmental officials say a spill of contaminated egg-wash from Buckeye Egg Farm in Licking county killed fish and turned parts of raccoon creek purple. Hundreds of minnows died inthe ammonia solution that spiled into a drainage ditch behind a barn at the Buckeye Egg Property in Croton. The E-P-A says the egg wash traveled into a tributary of the creek. Natural Resources Department spokesman Andy Ware says Buckeye Egg
likely will face a fine for the fish kill.
