The demand for blood remains high. One local fast-food restaurant has teamed up with the American Red Cross to try and serve up some donations. Captain D’s on Maple Avenue has been recruiting customers to give blood. They already have around 20 people signed up for the August 17th blood drive. For the people who sign up early and then come and donate, Captain D’s is offering a free dinner and a 22-ounce drink. If you want to get signed up early, stop in or call 452-1585. The blood drive will be from 11:30 until 4:30 in the back parking lot.
