The Elephant Encounter, a new attraction at this year's Muskingum County Blue Ribbon Fair, is actually not so new. The act is now in its third generation, and prides itself on the good relationship owners Bill Morris and his wife have with their two elephants, Shannon and Cora. Taking care of the elephants is a full time job, but one that Morris says is very important to the happiness of the animals. The Elephant Encounter has shows at 2PM, 5PM, and 8PM everyday through Saturday and is located near the rides.
