Former Garfield Elementary School principal Bill Lee is running for the Cambridge Board of Education. Lee filed Thursday and will join friend Violet Cummings on the November ballot. Lee who is hoping to occupy one of the three vacant seats on the Board of Education, was suspended by the Cambridge Board of Education in May for allegedly paddling a boy and calling him a foul name. Lee said that he will campaign on three issues: corporal punishemnt, fair treatment and finding a new superintendent.
