As patriotism spreads across the country, many local schools are doing their part to increase awareness among their students. St Nicholaus Elementary School has been showing their support for the country by doing numerous projects to get students involved. Karen Milam’s fifth grade class made a gigantic flag for the entire school and presented it as a surprise last week. Other classes have also learned the true meaning of patriotism. The third grade class decorated the halls with American eagles as well as paper t-shirts colored red, white and blue. The eighth grade class is currently selling bracelets and flags to the community.
