The goal, to make it to “The Great Race” in Pittsburgh by Sunday. The cause, to collect pins, and money for the victim’s families and the police force involved in the terrorist attacks. An Indiana couple decided that they wanted to make a difference for those who were affected by the tragedy, and earlier today they passed through our area. Area schools came out to show support with posters and cheers. They started in Linton, IN last Sunday. Along the way local restaurants, motels and stores have donated to the cause. From providing rooms to sleep in overnight, meals to eat and beverages like water and Gatorade for the runners. Each town has contacted area runners to help the cause. Three members of The Zanesville Chapter of the Tortoise and Hare Running Club ran today.
