With combined efforts, they managed to raise 35 thousand dollars in proceeds to help relief efforts in New York City. The Red Cross, Salvation Army, Fire Department and Sheriff’s Office in Coshocton County organized a boot drive in Downtown Coshocton. The joint effort not only raked in money donations, but also canned goods and bottled water. They also coordinated with city schools, and both the elementary and high schools donated. The “boot drive” took place last Friday: since then more donations have come in: those too will be sent to New York.
