For over 20 years Nashport Elementary School has held a festival where the students and their families could spend a day together enjoying activities. This year the Fall Festival is scheduled to kick off this Saturday. There will be plenty of things for everyone to take part in. Pony rides, petting zoo, face painting, a bounce house, hay maze and also games and prizes for the children. Many events are also planned for the adults such as cake roulette wheel, bingo and square dancing. A raffle has been set up as well to raise money for the school. People can win $100, $50, $25, or even ten dollars. The student who sells the most tickets wins a bike. Most of the activities will run from 1 to 5pm. Sargent Dan Marks of the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office will be on hand displaying DARE materials and setting up files for the kids. At 5:30 pm the auction will begin and the festivities will conclude around 10. Nashport Elementary School is located on Ohio 146 West Newark Road near the main entrance to Dillon State Park.
