Thanks to a anonimous donor, the John McIntire Library has a brand new artistic attraction to share with the community. It is located on the front lawn of the library and the hope is that it will have a positive effect on the community as a whole as well as the atmosphere of downtown. Visitors of the library have already been out to enjoy the new piece of art. It was a gift to the community from a local benefactor who looked upon reading as an important part of a child’s learning experience. A local artist designed the artwork of four children leaving the library with books. The project began 18 months ago and the installation of the sculptures was completed last Friday.
