It’s never too early to start planning for the upcoming year, and the Zanesville Downtown Association has already begun preparing for 2002 by kicking off its membership drive. Volunteers will be out tomorrow from 9 until noon to visit all of the downtown businesses prepping them up for the new year that is fast approaching. It is called the Membership Blitz, and volunteers will also be going around to inform the businesses about what the ZDA does and how important it is for the downtown area. Many people are unaware of what the ZDA means to the community and especially the downtown business district. The ZDA is always looking for advocates who want to develop the downtown area for business attraction and expansion and also the beautification of downtown because they are trying to bring the city back. The ZDA encourages anyone who is interested in developing a strong downtown community and wants to support efforts to improve the city of Zanesville to join them and become a member.
