Area community members have been opening their hearts and pocketbooks to aid in the September terrorist attacks, but helping the needy here at home has been dropped dramatically. Christ’s Table is thousands of dollars in debt and will start to drastically cut back is immediate assistance isn’t provided. With unemployment up and the economy slumping more and more people will need a hot meal. The food pantry has always prided it’s self on providing a healthy meal, but it may soon only serve peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and soup. If funds aren’t provided before the board meeting next week: severe cutbacks will happen. To help in this important effort send monetary donations to 28 South 6th Street or P.O. Box 233 Zanesville, OH or drop it off in person to Christ’s Table.
