Americans across the country held their breath today, as reports came in that a passenger plane crashed into a residental area. An American Airlines jumbo jet crashed moments after takeoff from Kennedy Airport in New York City. The plane bound for the Dominican Repblic, crashed about five miles from the airport. All this news when travel around the United States was beginning to pick up. Gayla Flemming of Carlson Wagonlit Travel said there is no doubt this will slow travel for sometime, but flemming also said planes are booked for the holiday season.
