Schools around the area are participating in a week-long program designed to promote reading. It is “Right To Read Week,” which is an annual event more many schools, and Adamsville Elementary will be partaking in a variety of events to sharpen their reading skills. The theme is America and the events are also planned to prepare the students for upcoming proficiency tests. Some of the WHIZ News Crew joined in the excitement and read stories to a few of the classes. Community involvement was something the teachers at Adamsville Elementary thought would be beneficial, and more interesting to the kids. Setting up an array of events also proved to be worthwhile. “Right To Read Week” activities for the students will be continuing throughout the rest of this week.
