The Zanesville community lined up today as thousands of hot flapjacks were piled on plates loaded with sausage and maple syrup. It was the 44th annual Sertoma Community Pancake Day, an event that area residents are excited for each year and has newcomers wanting to come back for more. A lot of time goes into putting Pancake Day together, the Zanesville Sertoma Club starts preparing for next year’s big event the day after this one ends. They use about 1,900 pounds of sausage, 40 cases of pancake mix and numerous gallons of milk and coffee. Pancake Day was held in the basement of Secrest Auditorium with WHIZ/AM 1240 broadcasting live.
